Acting upon instructions we attended at a 3 bedroom bungalow in the New Forest to undertake a Homebuyers Report.

The property was agreed for sale at £415,000.

Upon our inspection we reported a number of repairing issues and items for further investigation the most significant of which was apparent historical structural movement to the rear elevation of the property and also complete blockage of the septic tank and underground drainage systems.

Upon receipt of the report the Client undertook further due diligence and commissioned a full drainage survey and report, this report concluded that the underground drainage and septic tank required complete replacement at cost in excess of £6000.

In addition to this the structural movement was investigated further which resulted in issues on the insurance of the property with only certain companies willing to insure the property - as it had not been previously declared by the present owners.

On the basis of our survey, a successful renegotiation of £35,000 was settled upon.
